Transforming HR

How can you direct your human capital? Can you even speak about “directing”? Transforming anything is difficult, so I opened with the following quote:

“There is nothing more difficult to carry out, nor more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage, than to initiate a new order of things. For the initiator has enemies in all those who profit by the old order, and only lukewarm defenders in those who would profit the new.”

In this presentation I talked about the fact that changing HR isn’t about HR: it’s about the business and so they should be front and center. This means HR needs to deliver services differently and they need to deliver different services.
